New construction is most of what we see along this corridor, and cameras are the system people think about last and regret most. Once the walls are closed, adding a camera to a corner means surface conduit or a hole in new drywall. We would rather sit down with the plan set early, mark where coverage will be wanted in three years, and pull the cable while the framing is open. The cost of an extra run at rough-in is small next to retrofitting one.

Conditions in Black Hawk

Black Hawk sits along a corridor that has been building steadily, which means most projects here are either new construction or buildings only a few years old. The terrain between Rapid City and Sturgis is broken enough that wireless links between structures need real line-of-sight verification rather than an assumption from a map. Newer construction makes cable pathways straightforward when we are involved early, and awkward when we are called after drywall.

Black Hawk anchors the fast-growing corridor between Rapid City and Sturgis, where new commercial and residential construction is constant. We coordinate pre-wire and structured cabling with builders here so cameras, WiFi, and networking drop in cleanly once the walls are up. Residential audio and theater follow in the newer homes.
