Networking

WIFI THAT WORKS ACROSS YOUR WHOLE BUILDING.

Most WiFi problems in commercial buildings come from the same place: a consumer router in the wrong spot. We design and install enterprise wireless systems that cover your entire building — every hallway, back office, warehouse floor, and parking lot if you need it.

We use UniFi, Omada, and Cambium hardware depending on the application. Access points get mounted where coverage requires them, not where it is easy to run a cable. We survey the space, plan the RF coverage, and install a system that handles the number of devices you actually have.

If you've got dead zones, dropped connections in the conference room, or a point-of-sale system that keeps falling off the network — we can fix it. If you're starting from scratch, we'll build it right the first time.

Business WiFi vs. Consumer Routers

The reason office WiFi struggles is almost always the same: a consumer router or a couple of off-the-shelf access points trying to do a commercial job. Business WiFi uses enterprise access points that hand devices off cleanly as people move, handle dozens or hundreds of connections at once, and are managed as one system instead of a handful of separate boxes. It is the difference between WiFi that works in the front office and WiFi that works everywhere, all day, under load.

WiFi Surveys & Access Point Placement

We do not guess where access points go. We survey the building — its size, construction, and how each area gets used — and plan coverage so signal reaches every space that needs it at the strength it needs. Concrete, steel, and long distances all change the answer. Access points get placed where coverage requires them, not where a cable was easy to run, and we run Cat6 back to a central switch so every one is wired, not repeated.

Warehouse, Outdoor & Large-Site Coverage

Warehouses, yards, campgrounds, and multi-building sites are where consumer gear gives up entirely. We design for the hard cases: high-ceiling warehouse coverage that reaches the floor and the racks, outdoor access points rated for weather, and point-to-point wireless links that carry the network to a building the cable will not reach. If your coverage problem is about distance or square footage, that is exactly what enterprise WiFi is built to solve.

Guest WiFi, Portals & VLANs

Your staff and your guests should not be on the same network. We separate them with VLANs so guest devices — and cameras, and point-of-sale — live on their own segment and cannot reach your business systems. For hotels, restaurants, and offices that want a branded guest experience, we set up captive portals with your logo and terms. It is better security and a cleaner experience at the same time.

UniFi Installation & Ongoing Management

We install and configure UniFi and other enterprise wireless systems across Rapid City and the Black Hills, and we do not disappear after the install. Because the whole system is managed from one controller, we can add networks, adjust coverage, and troubleshoot remotely — and when WiFi is part of a managed IT agreement, we are watching it as part of keeping your business running.

HOW WE APPROACH THIS

We start by understanding how the building gets used — which areas need coverage, how many devices will be on the network, and whether you need separate SSIDs for staff and guests. From there we plan access point placement, run Cat6 back to a central switch, and configure the controller. We test signal strength and handoff before we leave.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Commercial WiFi — FAQ

Why does my business WiFi keep dropping?

+

Almost always a consumer router trying to cover a commercial building. Enterprise access points, placed where coverage actually requires them, fix dead zones and the point-of-sale connections that keep falling off the network.

Do you do a site survey before installing WiFi?

+

Yes. We survey the space, plan the RF coverage, and count the devices that will be on the network before we place a single access point.

Can you separate guest and staff WiFi?

+

Yes. We set up separate networks for staff and guests, so your business traffic stays private and guest devices stay off your internal systems.

READY TO TALK ABOUT YOUR PROJECT?

We come out, look at the space, and tell you what it actually takes. No guessing. No generic quotes.
