What do Black Hills homeowners ask before calling?

Do you mount TVs, and can you hide the wires?

Yes. TV mounting is one of the most common residential jobs we do in Rapid City and the Black Hills, from a 65 inch in a bedroom to an 85 inch in an apartment. We fish the power and HDMI inside the wall wherever the framing allows, so nothing hangs below the screen, and we leave a conduit path when you want to add a soundbar or a console later. Tell us the size and the wall and we can usually quote and book it on the first call.

Can you mount a TV above a fireplace or a frame TV?

Yes. Above-fireplace mounts take a little more planning because of heat, viewing height, and what is behind the surface, and frame TVs use their own slim bracket. We check the wall first, sometimes from a photo, and bring the right mount. If the fireplace chase is hollow we can usually route the wires through it to the nearest outlet.

How soon can you come out?

Smaller residential jobs like a TV mount or a camera reconnect are usually scheduled within the same week, often in an afternoon slot after work. Whole-home audio, theater, and camera system installs are scheduled after a quick site visit. Call or text and we will give you a real date on the spot.

My cameras stopped working after I switched internet providers or routers. Can you fix them?

Yes, and it comes up a lot, especially with Starlink and other new providers. Your cameras keep recording to the recorder in the house, but the phone app loses them because the recorder is still looking for the old network, or because the new router is in a different room with no cable to it. Send us a photo of the recorder and the router and we can often tell you the fix on the phone. If it needs hands on, a service visit gets everything back on your phone, including systems another company installed.

Which home control and audio systems do you install and service?

We design, install, and support our own whole-home audio and home theater systems, and we replace aging systems whose parts are no longer made. We are not a dealer for every control platform, so for brands like Elan we will tell you honestly whether it is better to replace the control layer than to patch it. How far from Rapid City do you travel for residential work?

Rapid City, Box Elder, Spearfish, Custer, Belle Fourche, Sturgis, and the rest of the Black Hills on a regular basis, and into Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle for larger projects. For a house that is an hour or more out we plan the visit so the work is finished in one trip.
