A visitor economy means the building is very busy for part of the year and quiet for the rest, and the camera system has to be useful in both states. During the season the questions are about entrances, parking, and merchandise areas with heavy foot traffic. Out of season the building sits mostly empty, and exterior coverage of doors, equipment, and storage matters more. We design so the same system answers both, rather than tuning it for the busy months only.

Conditions in Keystone

Keystone is built into a narrow valley, and that geography drives most of the technical decisions. Line of sight between buildings is limited by the terrain rather than by distance, and connectivity options are more constrained than in larger towns nearby. The commercial buildings are small and the season is short, so work has to be planned around a tight window and equipment has to fit spaces that are genuinely small.

Keystone lives on tourism, with hospitality venues and attractions that depend on solid networking and AV through the busy months. We support the businesses here with surveillance, WiFi, and sound systems built to handle crowds. Nearby lake and cabin homes add residential audio and theater work.
