Pre-wire is the least visible and most valuable thing done during construction. Cable is inexpensive while walls are open and expensive afterward, and the runs that go in now determine what the building can support for its whole life. We review the plans, run generously to locations that may matter later, and terminate to a labeled panel. Nobody has regretted an extra drop at rough-in.

Conditions in Rapid City

Rapid City covers a lot of ground for its population, and the commercial building stock runs from downtown brick to newer construction out toward the interstate. That range matters, because a cable pathway that is straightforward in a 2015 office building is a genuine problem in a downtown block with plaster walls and no accessible ceiling. Wind is a constant consideration for anything mounted outdoors, and the temperature swing across a year is wide enough to matter for equipment that lives in an unconditioned space. We plan around the specific building rather than around a standard approach.

Rapid City is our home base and the commercial hub of the Black Hills.
