Spearfish has grown steadily and its commercial building stock reflects that, mixing older downtown structures with newer development toward the edges. The canyon and the elevation change nearby affect wireless planning for anything outside the town itself. Winter conditions here are more severe than in Rapid City, which is worth accounting for in exterior equipment selection and in scheduling work that requires roof or exterior access.
