That range matters, because a cable pathway that is straightforward in a 2015 office building is a genuine problem in a downtown block with plaster walls and no accessible ceiling. Wind is a constant consideration for anything mounted outdoors, and the temperature swing across a year is wide enough to matter for equipment that lives in an unconditioned space.
