Project Overview
To improve visual clarity and audio capture in the worship space, we replaced aging projection and audio systems with modern, network-connected solutions tailored for both in-room experience and livestreaming.
Visual Upgrade
- Old System: A 12-year-old bulb-based projector with dim, uneven output.
- New Installation: A bright, energy-efficient laser projector, delivering significantly improved clarity, contrast, and long-term reliability.
- Result: Crisp, vivid visuals that remain clear even in ambient lighting—ideal for worship lyrics, video content, and scripture slides.
NDI Video Distribution
- Device Installed: BirdDog Play connected to the projector.
- Functionality: Allows any NDI video signal on the network to be sent directly to the projector.
- Use Case: Easily display live video, pre-recorded content, slides, or even camera feeds—wirelessly and with low latency.
- Result: Flexible content distribution with no need for physical HDMI rerouting or manual input switching.
Audio Capture Enhancement
- Installation: Two ceiling-mounted drop microphones positioned to capture congregational singing and ambient room sound.
- Purpose: Designed to enrich livestream audio and recordings by including the full worship environment, not just the pastor’s mic.
- Result: Natural, immersive audio that brings the online audience closer to the in-person experience.
Outcome
This AV upgrade not only modernized outdated equipment but also created a future-ready foundation. With network-based video distribution and improved audio capture, the church now has the tools to elevate both in-person worship and online engagement.
